  1. Exam Pattern
    The HAS Exam consists of 3 stages:
    1.Preliminary Exam
    2.The Mains
    3. Viva Voce
    The Preliminary Exam is a 4-hour test and consists of the following two sections:
    1. General Studies
    2. Aptitude Test
    Each section consists of 100 questions constituting 200 marks each.
    Syllabus for the Prelims Exam
    1.General Studies

    -Socio-Economic Development of the Himachal Pradesh, Culture and Art, Political, geographical, history.
    -Current events of international and national importance.
    -History of Indian National Movement and India.
    -World Geography and India- Economic, Social, and Physical geography of the world and India.
    -Indian Governance and Polity- Rights Issues, Public Policy, Panchayati Raj, Political System, Constitution.
    -Social Development and Economic- Social Sector initiatives, demographics, inclusion, poverty, sustainable development.
    -Issues of climate change and biodiversity.
    -General Science

    2. Aptitude Test
