Is Punjab PCS Exam difficult than SSC CGL?

The level of difficulty depends on how a candidate perceives how to approach an examination. Owing to the extensive syllabus the civil services examination requires the devotion of a lot of time on preparation and revision of a wide variety of topics. On the other hand, the profile of SSC CGL requires the candidate to put in at least a year or sometimes more for preparation. The latter jobs are more challenging as it involves working in departments like IB or CVC or sometimes as a preventive officer.
There is no doubt that preparation for both the exams requires extensive preparation. I had a couple of my friends who had studied strenuously to achieve a great score but every time fell short of 15-20 points. There are many candidates who have yielded to pressure and anxiety and thus it is a wise strategy to practice extensively in order to overcome pressure. Both SSC and CGL exams are not hard if they are prepared strategically with strong basics foundation. The long nights and hard work shall pay dividends in the Tier-2 stage.
The PCS exam on the other hand again is a stringent examination which requires focussed attention from the candidates.PCS examination consists of 3 stages like the UPSC examination mainly the Preliminary, Mains and The Interview. Besides, there is an additional paper on Punjab administration which includes questions on Punjab Politics, Geography, History and Culture. The point to remember that it is only the hard work that you should trust to clear both the examination. It is also important to stay motivated during this time as thoughts of giving up or dejection might seep in owing to the large syllabus or workload.
